As a common identification and fastening tool, cable tie tags integrate functionality, practicality, and material science in their design principles. The tie is constructed from high-strength polyamide (such as nylon 66) or polypropylene, and features a self-tightening mechanism achieved through an integrated serration and lock design. Once the cable tie is threaded through the lock, the serrations engage with the barbs inside the lock, creating a one-way engagement. The greater the tension, the tighter the fixation, ensuring the tag is unlikely to fall off. This design principle draws on the "ratchet lock" mechanism in mechanical engineering, balancing ease of operation and reliability.

The material selection for the label area prioritizes weather resistance and visibility. Common materials include polyester film (PET) or coated paper, with UV-resistant and water-repellent finishes for outdoor and humid environments. Some high-end labels utilize thermal transfer or laser engraving technology, ensuring that text or barcodes remain legible even after extended use. Furthermore, the label's size and shape are ergonomically designed, making it easy to hold and write on or attach additional information.

At the application level, the design principles of cable tie labels also embody modularity. For example, some products incorporate fluorescent strips or reflective coatings to enhance identification in low-light environments, while others utilize color-coding systems (such as red/yellow/green) for rapid classification and management. This hybrid "fixture + identification" design significantly improves work efficiency and safety.
